Elena Sehgal Junior · Varsity doubles
New York City

I am Elena Sehgal, a junior in high school and a lifelong tennis player. I want to use my passion for tennis to support a cause that is deeply meaningful to me.

Through my interest in pulmonary diseases and respiratory health, I was inspired by the work of A.I.R. NYC, which helps children with asthma stay healthy, in school, and out of the hospital.

This tennis season, I aim to win more than half of my games as a doubles player while raising money for A.I.R. NYC. Join me on my tennis journey to make every point matter.

Back the season one match at a time. Pick an amount per match I win, or give a flat gift — either way, every dollar goes to A.I.R. NYC.

About A.I.R. NYC

A.I.R. NYC sends Community Health Workers into families' homes to break the cycle of severe, uncontrolled asthma — most of it in the South Bronx, where asthma rates and asthma-related emergency room visits are among the highest in the country.

The work is unglamorous and it works: inhaler technique, asthma-friendly cleaning supplies, mattress and pillow covers, medication refill reminders, and help with food, housing, and utilities. Your pledge funds it.

Community Health Workers

Trusted people from the same neighborhoods, meeting families where they already are instead of waiting for them in a clinic.

Care inside the home

Asthma triggers live in apartments, not waiting rooms. A.I.R. NYC treats the room a child sleeps in as part of the treatment plan.

Kids in school, out of the ER

Fewer attacks means fewer missed school days for children and fewer missed workdays for their parents.
